Players hire Vikings to claim and loot regions on the game board in an intuitive, easy to learn game loop. Looting, however, generates 'unrest' in regions, making them more vulnerable to be contested by other players. A key feature is also the bluffing driven combat mechanism: players secretly bid coins and combat cards which then change hands opening up strategic possibilites. Collected loot (like wheat, trade goods, or wine) can be used for settlements, income, or direct glory leaving many ways towards victory.
